For many of our clients, it is imperative that fitted furniture responds to authentic architectural details. This was certainly the case for the new owners of this Grade II listed property dating back to the 13th century. The house was something of an historical jigsaw puzzle with Norman and Georgian architecture pieced together with wooden beams, stone walls, ancient flagstone floors, large fireplaces and detailed wooden panelling.
The brief was to create a modern kitchen and eating environment but retain the original features. To achieve this, we reconfigured the layout of the ground floor and transformed the old drawing room into a large open-plan kitchen-dining room. With quirks, nooks and crannies galore, our team designed bespoke fitted cabinets from the Neptune kitchen Suffolk range to ensure the kitchen made the most of the available space.
